  • What is the shelf life of your blends?

Our blends do have a shelf life of up to 24 months. However, for best results, it is suggested to consume your blends within 12 months. To maintain their freshness after opening, always ensure the bag or jar is closed and kept in a cool, dark spot.

  • Why don’t you use or offer teabags?

Unfortunately, most, if not all, teabags contain billions of microplastic and nanoplastic particles. With our commitment to promoting overall health, the use of teabags goes directly against this commitment.

  • Why does my tea look or taste a bit different from my last order?

Because we only source organic plants, it is common to see variations from batch to batch. This is truly the beauty of using organic plants. We try to minimize these changes as much as we can by being committed to our supplier. However, if there is a situation that has affected the farms our supplier sources their plants from, we may have sourced our plants from a different supplier. Our formulation for each blend will however never change!

  • I’ve never had your teas. Can I sample them at your cafe?

We always have tea steeping at Living Apothecary. We are happy to provide a tasting when you visit. (Note: this is always dependent on where we are at with COVID-19 rules) .

  • What policies have you put in place to reduce transmission of COVID-19?

The health and safety of our guests and team will always remain priority. We opened our doors in the middle of the pandemic; making masks, sanitizing and surveys a very normal procedure for us!
    • Two hours before your visit with us, you will receive a COVID-19 Screening Survey. This survey must be completed prior to entering the space. We confirm the completion of your survey and answers when you arrive.
    • When you arrive we ask that you sanitize your hands and wear a mask.
    • We have limited the number of people in our space and we ask that no visitors join you on your visit to keep our numbers in check

  • Are you sanitizing surfaces and tools in between clients and patients?

All surfaces and tools used are disinfected with medical grade disinfectant. High touch surfaces in the space – including the bathroom, faucets and door handles are sanitized frequently throughout the day.
